When I was a kid, my mom and I would drive together a lot. Let’s rephrase that – she drove me. And I mean everywhere.

Sometimes it was to dinner, lunch, to go shopping, etc. Whatever it was, it was always interesting. Sometimes we’d sit in silence and listen to NPR or sometimes we’d talk about life. Her life. My life. You know how it is. And one of things I loved to hear most were stories about her life when she was my age.

I heard a lot, but what I remember distinctly was that she said she was a “flower child.” A bohemian. Obsessed with The Who and bell bottoms. It was the 60s after all. So, when I saw this dress after making a wrong turn at Target, I fell in love. Maybe our love for florals and retro prints is genetic. You know, “Like mother, like daughter.” Whatever it is, I think I’m living up to the 60s version of my mom pretty well.

Hi Everyone!

Sometimes outfits aren’t supposed to be fresh, exciting, and out of your comfort zone – well, at least this shouldn’t be the case all the time. When you find something that works, I tend to stick to it.

I’m a sucker for stripes (always have, always will) and denim. I shook things up by pairing my all-time closet favorite with a button-up denim skirt that seems to be increasingly popular these days. It’s comfortable, I feel like a badass in it, and shows a little leg – always a plus, right?

I’m still in New York until the end of the week, so while the posts may be few and far between over here – I’m so excited to share you what I’ve been up to when I get back!

Cheers, y’all!

Black + White

Jacket: Crossroads Trading | Dress: Who What Wear via Target | Shoes: F21

Hi Everyone!

You know those pieces of clothing that you put on and you automatically feel like a million bucks? Well, these pieces do it for me. I feel cool, confident and pretty damn sexy in something as simple as a black dress, oversized denim jacket and (short) heels.

So, that brings me to my next question. What’s sexy? Is is a body con dress with 6 inch stilettos? Is it a pair of boyfriend jeans and massive sweater? Or is it a pair of yoga pants? Whatever makes you feel like you can conquer the world – wear it. do it. work it.

Life’s too short to feel (and be) anything less than fuckin’ fabulous.

Hi Everyone!

Happy Wednesday – hope you’re having a great week. So, let’s talk about rompers y’all. It’s a love/hate relationship, you know? Ladies (and men too!), I’m sure you share my frustrations and shared love for these bad boys. They are fun, breezy, and easy to wear. Getting on, however? Meh, not so much. Going to the bathroom? FORGET IT.

So, that’s why I shake my head when rompers come up during festival fashion roundups because they are just not practical. But damn, sometimes you can love the things that aren’t the best for you. Especially when they look (and feel) awesome.

Mellow Yellow – Part 2

Skirt & Blouse: Target | Shoes: Old Navy | Bag: Vintage Coach via my Mom

Hey Everyone!

Showin’ off a few more shots from a photoshoot awhile back with Lisha. As Coachella Weekend 2 came to a close, I watched on Instagram with major FOMO. Planning on going next year – mark my words.

Speaking of warm weather, I’m obsessed with showcasing bare legs – luckily I have this rad skirt to help.

Happy Tuesday!

Mellow Yellow – Part 1

Skirt & Blouse: Target | Shoes: Old Navy | Bag: Vintage Coach via my Mom

Hi Everyone!

Headed to Denver tomorrow, but before I do I thought I’d share this look. With all the Coachella madness on Instagram, I’ve been getting a lot of FOMO. So, instead of complaining I thought I’d channel my inner-Coachella goer and rock some festival duds fit for Kylie Jenner. P.S. I highly doubt she’d wear this. Too  much skin is covered.

I love the loose structure of the blouse and the subtle ties at the wrists! I paired it with a denim skirt and Old Navy mules for a look that can transition from day to evening.

Most importantly, I’m rocking some pretty rad accessories including my mom’s vintage Coach purse. I love this thing so, so much and think it ties the entire look together!

Cheers, y’all!

Weekend Style

Overalls: Target | Shirt & Bag: Old Navy (similar shirt here) | Shoes: Rothy’s | Hat: Cary Lane

Hi Everyone!

Happy Friday! Even though it was a short week, I’m SO grateful it’s the weekend because I can sleep (hopefully) in.

Other than hittin’ the snooze button for some quality zzzz’s I’m celebrating Ittai’s birthday this weekend and running since I just signed up for another 10 mile run! A sucker for pleasure or pain, I’m just not too sure.

Anyway, I hope you have a beautiful weekend friends!
