The weekend sure catches up with you, doesn’t it? This week/end was a little chaotic and like life, was filled with some really happy moments and some sad ones.
Earlier in the week, I had the opportunity to hang with the Hush Puppies team and enjoy a Fall brunch with them at Belga. I love their new Fall line and it was the perfect introduction to the season – even if it’s 90 degrees in San Francisco at the moment. And a great way to beat the heat? Cocktails from Palm House. Always.
Ran the OU 5k by the Bay with Ohio University Alumni in San Francisco. Needless to say from the pictures, Andi and I were definitely spirited. We also celebrated my sista and fellow Bobcat’s birthday in Oakland. We sipped beers and celebrated at Temescal Brewery and if you haven’t been, it’s AWESOME. And…FREE POPCORN!
With the good, also comes the sad. Ittai’s grandmother passed away in Israel over the weekend, so please send some good energy his family’s way. I know it’ll help. 🙂
Hope you have a good week!
Happy Monday! Hope you’re having a great day! This past weekend was possibly one of the better ones I’ve had. It started off with nomming at Eat Drink SF (more on that later!) and ended with a sunset overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge.
Some highlights in between:
- Sippin’ Women & Whiskies cocktails, noshing on Bare Snacks and hanging out with some phenomenal blogger friends at Ampersand
- Sunday morning brunch at Nourish Cafe! Their avocado and pesto toast is SO good!
- Two hours of yoga at Ritual’s first ever Yogathon! Was seriously so drenched, but met so many amazing people at the event. SO proud of Ritual and how far they’ve come!
- Saturday fuel at 20th Century Cafe. The challah french toast is what dreams are made of. Go grab it nowwww!
- Reading “You’ll Grow Out Of It” on the rooftop of my apartment
- Discovering Locale 58’s amazing candles and filling my apartment with delicious scents
- Mid-week catch up over elevated bar bites and happy hour at The Corner Store
What about you?
Happy Monday – well, afternoon! This weekend in San Francisco was pretty magical. At least the weather was above 60 degrees.
Friday evening was spent seeing “Mortified” and basically, it’s the perfect Friday night activity. For those who haven’t heard about the show, it’s an evening where people share their youthful personal possessions and anecdotes. It’s hilarious and sometimes a little sad, but always a good time.
Saturday was spent in the East Bay for brunch and a hike in the Berkeley Hills. I haven’t spent too much time exploring, but it reminded me of how special the Bay Area is. So much beauty and nature in Northern California, it’s insane.
Sunday, Ittai and I went to SOMA StrEAT Food for a Robin Williams Movie Marathon and I was lucky enough to catch up with my old college friend who I haven’t seen in ages.
I’m also looking for other unique San Francisco/Oakland/Berkeley/Bay Area activities, so please share some of your favorites!
Happy Tuesday! Apologies on the delay – it’s been a pretty crazy weekend! Saturday was spent dog sitting the cutest Corgi named Pippa and then Sunday started off with the San Francisco Half-Marathon followed by food – and a lot of it.
Cue peanut butter toast accompanied with Bare Snacks
and ceviche and sweet potato fries from my favorite place in the Marina – Palm House
How was your weekend?
Happy Friday everyone!
Hope you had a killer week and are ready for the weekend – I know I am. I’ve been having a chaotic week, but wanted to share some of my favorite things as of late:
Saint Frank Coffee: I started the week off with a vengeance – Spin class at 7 a.m. Unfortunately it was canceled, but fortunately, I headed over to Saint Frank for an almond milk latte and some quiet. It was the perfect way to start the week.
ShampYou: I’m always on the hunt for shampoo that smells amazing and is actually good for your hair. Luckily, I found success in ShampYou’s Lemon & Verbena Shampoo. The shampoo contains Natural Silk Amino Acids which penetrate deep into the hair cuticle to quench and caress forming a protective protein shield for my hair – if you saw my Instagram yesterday, you’ll say “YES AIMEE. YOU NEED THIS.” No lie. I’ve also been adding a few serums into my hair (new for me!) and my faves are Gimme More Moisture and Turn Up The Volume. Annnnd, the packaging is oh so cute!
Olly Gummies: I was introduced to this brand only a few days ago, but am officially obsessed! I have trouble sleeping sometimes, so I took the Restful Sleep gummies for a healthy sleep cycle. I went to bed within the next twenty minutes and woke up feeling refreshed (not groggy!). Pretty amazing.
Clothe Ohio: For obvious reasons, I love reppin’ my homestate. Especially when the sweatshirts and T-shirts are well designed, well-made, and crazy comfy! My favorite is this camo sweatshirt!
Corridor: I had the opportunity to check out this new restaurant on Van Ness last week and I was super impressed. I feel like there’s a pretty big lack of restaurants on Van Ness, so I was eager to check this place out! You order at the front counter, but ordering at the front counter is not like ordering at In-n-Out. Upon entering, you are graciously walked through all the menu options. If you have questions, don’t fret – they are more than happy to help. I started off with a crisp Pilsner and a tomato and burrata salad to tide my hunger pangs. Ittai and I scarfed down those and added monkey bread to the mix. Seriously – it was one of the highlights of the meal. SO SO good. I’ll be sharing more about this place in the next few weeks, but until then – you gotta go!
Have a great weekend!
Happy Monday! Hope y’all had a great weekend. Mine started off a little foggy but what do you expect for a San Francisco summer? Saturday morning I celebrated my blogging partner-in-crime Shikha for her 27th birthday!
We rented go-carts – you know, those small little buggy things zipping through the streets of San Francisco, and explored the entire city. We went through Fisherman’s Wharf and even stopped by to say hello to Karl the Fog at the Golden Gate Bridge.
Sunday, I headed to brunch at Belga (so good!) with a few fellow bloggin’ babes to catch up. Always amazing to be part of such an inclusive and supportive group of women and men. Thanks to Kay for planning! And if you haven’t been to Belga, well…it’s delicious Belgian food. That means frites and sausage – my kind of meal.
Hope y’all have a great day and check ya tomorrow!
Happy Monday! I’m out hur in New York until Wednesday and after New York – Israel! I made a promise to myself that I wouldn’t worry about posting (more on that Wednesday) so until then, I promise to give you two solid blog posts.
This week/end has been awesome and am feeling more pumped than ever. Some highlights:
- Checking out happy hour at Evil Eye, the newest hotspot in San Francisco!
- Seeing a 10 week old black Pug. EEP.
- Early morning coffee at Vive La Tarte with Shikha
- A beautiful surprise party at Evil Eye (see, it’s good!) thrown by my bestie Andi and babely boyfriend, Ittai!
- Brunch al fresco in New York – it’s actually hot, guys
- Catching up with old college friends over beers
- Running into my first college friend on the streets of NY!
- Macarons at Lauduree
More to come tomorrow!
