Thankful Thursday

Hi Everyone!

Happy Thursday! Some biiiiiiig things happening and I thought I’d take a moment out of the chaos to remind myself of the things I’m thankful for.

  • My recent trip to Denver! Often times college friendships fade, but not with Emily. We make it a point to go to one different and new destination every year.
  • Sunsets in San Francisco. As evidence from above, I love being able to unwind at even the most touristy of locations. Seriously, how can you not fall in love with this city?
  • My coworkers. We’re a small but mighty team that works hard and has some fun in the process. I’ve worked with a few of these people for several years at different jobs so instead of feeling like a work team, it feels like a family. It makes my time at Pinterest 10,000 times more enjoyable knowing they have my back.
  • Tonight’s happy hour with my bestie Andi! I love the times her and I can chat, drink a glass (or few) of wine and eat an entire plate of cheese without feeling guilty.
  • Blog thangz. I so, so appreciate the opportunities my blog has created for me. From meeting new and inspiring friends to being able to work with big brands, this shit (for lack of a better word) is pretty cool and amazing. Thank you to those of you have kept with me – even when I haven’t been so on top of it.
  • Moving in with my boyfriend Ittai! This is suuuuper big news and a major life event. We recently found a place (four blocks from where I live now!) and move in June 1st. We’re now starting the long and tedious search of finding furniture and other things that will make our little apartment a home. I’m super excited to share this new adventure with him and can’t wait to kick ass together as a team.

Cheers!

Romper: Who What Wear via Target | Shoes: Converse | Jacket: Forever 21 (similar here)

Hi Everyone!

Happy Wednesday – hope you’re having a great week. So, let’s talk about rompers y’all. It’s a love/hate relationship, you know? Ladies (and men too!), I’m sure you share my frustrations and shared love for these bad boys. They are fun, breezy, and easy to wear. Getting on, however? Meh, not so much. Going to the bathroom? FORGET IT.

So, that’s why I shake my head when rompers come up during festival fashion roundups because they are just not practical. But damn, sometimes you can love the things that aren’t the best for you. Especially when they look (and feel) awesome.

Cheers!

Hey Everyone!

Showin’ off a few more shots from a photoshoot awhile back with Lisha. As Coachella Weekend 2 came to a close, I watched on Instagram with major FOMO. Planning on going next year – mark my words.

Speaking of warm weather, I’m obsessed with showcasing bare legs – luckily I have this rad skirt to help.

Happy Tuesday!

Hi Everyone!

Getting back from an awesome weekend in Denver with my bestie Emily! It was a beautiful trip and I can’t wait to go back.

From touring the Coors Brewery (not sorry) to eating our way through LoDo, Denver was everything we expected and more! We also made a pitstop to Boulder and instantly fell in love with the college vibe. The more laid back the better. 🙂

Hope everyone had a beautiful weekend!

Cheers!

Hi Everyone!

Happy Thursday! I’m off to Denver but earlier this week I had the opportunity to head to Oakland.

So, I’ll admit – I don’t get to Oakland as much as I’d like to. It’s a bummer because there’s so much good energy in the East Bay. From the Fox Theater to Trouble Coffee, so many gems exist in the city and the surrounding areas. Jack’s Oyster Bar and Bocanova are two standouts that must be explored.

Located on the water, Jack’s Oyster Bar features an impressive raw bar and offers oysters both from the West and East Coast. Talk about variety! We started off with Oysters, Maine Lobsters Rolls (INSANE!), and my personal favorite – Charred Octopus.

You guys, I thought I had an adventurous palette. But when you look at an octopus on a plate, well…it’s a bit more daunting. Luckily, Jack’s does octopus right. With rainbow carrots and potatoes, the octopus was perfectly charred and a beautiful sight to see. I’m still dreaming of it!

Right next door is Bocanova, a Pan-American grill that focuses on local ingredients and beautiful atmosphere. Executive Chef (of both Jacks and Bocanova), Rick Hackett combines Central and South American culinary sensibilities to the restaurant and his passion for serving high-quality food shows.

We started off with the Rock Cod Ceviche – a medley of piquillo peppers, smoked calabrian chile, red onion, avocado, and cilantro. Yessssssss. We then sunk our teeth into this delicious swordfish that was almost to beautiful to eat.

We finished off the meal with a Pisco Sour (hell yeah!) and Warm Chocolate Bread Pudding. Seriously – chocolate and carbs, ya’ll. What more could you want?

So, you know those spots where people from out of town ask you, “Where should I go to eat?” Well, I can gladly say my arsenal of places has gotten a little longer with the help of Jack’s and Bocanova.

If you’re in the East Bay, definitely check it out!

Cheers!

Hi Everyone!

Headed to Denver tomorrow, but before I do I thought I’d share this look. With all the Coachella madness on Instagram, I’ve been getting a lot of FOMO. So, instead of complaining I thought I’d channel my inner-Coachella goer and rock some festival duds fit for Kylie Jenner. P.S. I highly doubt she’d wear this. Too  much skin is covered.

I love the loose structure of the blouse and the subtle ties at the wrists! I paired it with a denim skirt and Old Navy mules for a look that can transition from day to evening.

Most importantly, I’m rocking some pretty rad accessories including my mom’s vintage Coach purse. I love this thing so, so much and think it ties the entire look together!

Cheers, y’all!
