Happy Thursday! I’m headed off to Seattle bright and early tomorrow morning and I can’t wait.
This trip was oh so spontaneous and to be honest, a little unlike me. I love to plan and be prepared so when I booked the flight, it was pretty thrilling. Especially since my travel companion is a hell of a lot of fun and a total babe.
I went in February, so I guess it’s only fitting that I go around the same time. It’s supposed to rain…a lot. I guess that’s what you get for going to Seattle during the winter?
Anyway, we’re staying in Capitol Hill and since I’ve stayed there before, I’m excited to explore it even more. I received a few places to check out from friends, but if you have suggestions – send ’em my way!
As for places I went last time, I think I did Seattle pretty well.
Oddfellows: The tastiest brunch there ever was.
Pikes Place: I mean, c’mon.
Stumptown: Damn good coffee and some of the best people watching I’ve ever experienced.
Happy Tuesday! I’m SO excited about today’s post because not only do I have another batch of photos to share with y’all, but they are photos with my best friend Andi!
A few weeks ago I asked Ander and Tory if they had some time in the morning to grab coffee, toast from The Mill, and take a few photos. I’ve been really trying to push myself to be a better blogger and experiment with different types of photographers, outfits, posts, and everything in between.
I’ve mentioned this many times before but Andi was the one who actually got me into blogging. In college, Andi had (and still has!) an amazing blog. Initially, it was called Polish My Crown and just recently as blogs continue to grow just like people, it’s now called Lucky Andi – celebrations, adventures & more.
Andi’s dedication was awesome and inspiring to see. She wrote about thoughtful topics, shared her insight into past experiences, and advice to twenty-something’s who were experiencing life.
In awe of Andi’s drive and hard work, I started my own and after two and a half years, here we are!
Andi and I see each other constantly, so an early morning hangout was not out of the norm for us. She’s my partner-in-crime over here in SF and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
So, if you have a bestie – give ’em a call, tell them you love them or give them a squeeze!

Happy Monday! Quick post as I start off the week strong and end with a trip to Seattle! Super excited. Spent the entire weekend doing a lot of running, eating, and laughing.
Pretty great, right?
During the course of the week/end, I noshed at Huxley (the carrot soup was out of this world!), caught a beautiful San Francisco sunset at my favorite spot, scored two books (After Dark & GirlBoss), hung with Winnie, Mao and Amy, and slept in. It was beautiful.
Looking forward to sharing a lot more posts with you in the coming days!
Happy Thursday, y’all!
These past few weeks, I’ve had the pleasure of having longer weekends than usual. With the holidays, I’ve had an extra day tacked on to Saturday and Sunday to rest, get refreshed, and unwind.
It’s been great. And needed.
I come to find that we push ourselves a little too hard here. In San Francisco. And well, everywhere really.
We want to do all the things, see all the people, and never get left out of the “club” that I sometimes call San Francisco. If you haven’t been here, it’s small. 7×7 square miles to be exact.
And when it’s that small, well…you’re bound to run into people. Often. Whether you like it or not, I assure you that you’ll run into people you love, hate, or want to forget. But don’t push yourself too hard on trying to achieve the last one. Trust me, I’ve tried.
Over the last several weeks, I’ve been trying to slow down. Make each moment count and speak with intention. I find it increasingly hard, you know? Life goes a thousand miles a minute and for someone who likes to talk, it sometimes feels like a hundred thousand.
So as a continuous life experiment, I’m going to challenge myself to be alone and find some time to just be quiet. For those who know me, it definitely will be a challenge and right now seems a bit uh, daunting.
However, I consider this little blog of mine a source for accountability. And with that, I can look back and re-read these posts and remember to practice what I preach.
As we ease into the weekend (slowly but surely), I encourage you, too, to slow down. Walk up and down Haight Street, take pictures of stuff that inspires you (evidence above), discover new things about your city that you haven’t experienced before.
Happy Wednesday! Since it’s been pretty chilly in San Francisco, I’ve been bundling up more often than usual.
Luckily, I’ve been finding ways to stay cozy and still fairly fashionable without looking like a snowman. I’ve been so insanely obsessed with these Madewell jeans that I scored from Crossroads. I have to admit, I’ve always steered clear from Madewell jeans because they’re so insanely expensive but I snagged them for more than half the price thanks to Crossroads. Bless y’all.
Along with the jeans, I’ve been wearing this awesome cropped jacket that is almost like wearing a thicker sweater. Top it off with a captain’s hat and I look like I’m ready to ride the fashionable high seas!
Something around those lines, right?
