Hi Everyone!

As y’all know, I love San Francisco. I really, really do. I was talking to a friend recently about how i’m known for well, bragging about this city. To be honest, I can’t help it. It’s the most beautiful place i’ve lived. And it’s home. My home.

As I mentioned yesterday, I spent last Friday exploring Bernal Heights. Located at the souther edge of the Mission, Bernal is a world in itself. At the peak of Bernal Heights Hill you feel like you’re on top of the world…or at least San Francisco. It’s a breathtaking view with or without Karl the Fog.

Once you reach the top of the hill, you can see over Noe Valley, the Mission, China Basin and the downtown skyline. It’s a beautiful, special place that makes you feel (on a lucky day) that you’re the only one that knows about it.

Some other favorite parks in SF? Billy Goat Hill (tree swing!), Hawk Hill, Tank Hill, Corona Heights (a must see!!) and Mt. Tam (up north). Beautiful places that make you feel, for a minute, that you stumbled upon an untapped city treasure.

Cheers!

Hi Everyone!

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great, prideful weekend! A little wrap-up of the week/end:

Stopped by and said hello to Victoria of SF Girl By Bay and SKYY Vodka. Tasty cocktails and beautiful scenery – what could be better?

Celebrated Scott’s birthday at Dolores Park and finished off with Velvet Cantina and a good ol’ sunburn.

PRIDE – ’nuff said. Was a beautiful weekend filled with a lot of love.

Nommed hard – Went to Nourish Cafe in the Richmond and fell in love. Acai bowl and toast? YES.

Instagram Meet-up – Went to Bernal Heights on Friday evening for an Instagram meet-up/photo walk! It was my first one and I have to say it was so great meeting everyone and hanging with people who love taking photos as much as I do! Shout out to Philz Coffee, Gap, and Hello Mr. for hosting!

Cheers!

Hi Everyone!

Happy Friday! Apologies for the lack of posts this week – since it was my birthday Monday i’m sure you’ll give me a pass.

Anyway, I love doing these outtake posts because I love making fun of myself and laughing. I think the moment you take yourself seriously (especially in blogging) you lose a little bit of what makes you special, what makes you human.

I pride myself on being a goofball and I look to my 26th year as being one of the goofiest on record.

Enjoy your weekend & cheers!

Hi Everyone!

As y’all may have guessed from yesterday’s post, I spent my birthday in Sonoma. It was a fairly last minute trip, to be honest. I had hopes of traveling internationally for my birthday, but I made it a point that my 26th year was a year of no BS and no excuses. So, it shall happen…eventually.

That being said, I love Sonoma and this was one of the first trips I’ve taken where I had no agenda. At all. No other celebrations to be had other than to relax and do the things i’ve always enjoyed.

With that, i’ll share a few of my favorites from this past weekend:

El Dorado Hotel & Kitchen: A boutique hotel that’s centrally located on Sonoma Square. Modern and with a touch of whimsy, I loved this place. It was a hop, skip and a jump from the place we went to for dinner and it was one of the best parts of the weekend.

The Girl and the Fig: I’ve heard SO much about this place and after four years of hearing about it, I finally went! I had the Summer Pea Pasta that was so delicious. The outside seating was beautiful and the staff was wildly friendly. Our waiter even sang to me for my birthday!

Wineries: Started off at Gloria Ferrer for champagne, made a pit stop to St. Francis and then ended the day at B.R. Cohn! Beautiful spots that were charming in their own way. Definitely suggest stopping by those three if you head to Sonoma!

Sonoma Cheese Factory: Great place to stock up for little bites, snacks, and cheese (of course) to take with you to a vineyard! Also, their sammies are delicious. Nom!

Cheers!

Hi Everyone!

Happy Tuesday! Apologies on not posting yesterday, but when it’s your birthday – you deserve a day off! I spent the weekend full of fun activities including horseback riding on the beach (insanely beautiful!), a trip to Sonoma, dinner at The Girl and the Fig, and a few beers in the backyard of Wild Side West.

Gorgeous weekend with beautiful people. Cheers to being 26.

Friday Favorites

Screen Shot 2015-06-19 at 9.43.39 AM

Hi Everyone!

Happy Friday! We made it, right? Since it’s my birthday weekend, I thought i’d throw out some of my favorite things as of late:

Dolores Park: The new side is now open! I can’t wait to wiggle my toes in that glorious, green grass!

Fog City: Happy hour is made better with Fog City‘s hamburger and fries. Seriously, the best i’ve ever had. If you want a little re-cap check it out.

Inspiring Women: I had the opportunity to hang with some of my favorite ladies on Wednesday at The Cheese School of San Francisco. It’s always so refreshing to hear about other women who are kicking ass and taking names. Oh, and the cheese there was outta this world.

Trips: I’m going on a little getaway for my birthday on Sunday! Sonoma, here I come! I can’t wait to stay at the El Dorado, nom at The Girl and the Fig, and drink copious amounts of wine.

Yoga: I recently found an amazing yoga class that mixes cardio, yoga, and weights. It’s called Sculpt at CorePower Yoga and i’m obsessed. The room is slightly heated, allowing your muscles to move a bit more freely and I have to say – it’s one hell of a workout.

Friends: Lately i’ve been feeling quite restless. Maybe it’s a quarter-life crisis, but luckily I have some stellar friends who’ve let me bitch, complain, talk, etc. To be honest, i’m nothing without these guys. So, for all those who are reading – thank you! ❤

So, as I mentioned earlier…Monday is my birthday! I’m so excited to be turning one year older – I feel like 25 was such a good year and it can only go up from here. However, one thing that would truly make my birthday even greater is some help from all of you.

On July 11th & 12th, I will be walking 39.3 miles for the Avon 39 The Walk to End Breast Cancer. I am more than half-way to my goal and would love your help. My mother had breast cancer several years ago and beat it. I’m so hopeful that many women (and men) are as lucky as my mother who beat cancer and are living a healthy, happy life.

Any donation would be amazing. Whether it’s a dollar or ten dollars, i’d be so, so grateful. You can donate here.

Cheers!

Jacket: H&M via Crossroads Trading (similar here) | Hat: Cary Lane | Pants: Uniqlo | Shirt: F21 (dig this version) | Shoes: Carlos by Carlos Santana

I really can’t get enough of black jeans lately. They just seem to go with everything. Last night, I was trying to plan on what I was going to wear today and was just feeling so uninspired. Luckily, these Uniqlo jeans make it easy to feel comfortable and relaxed – even when i’m in a fashion rut.

Cheers!
