Hi Everyone!

Happy Thursday! As many of you know, I recently completed my first (ahh!) half-marathon. I’m not a runner really, but I wanted to set myself to a reasonable goal and see if I could kick its ass. Well, I did. And I felt great afterwards. A lot of prep went into my half-marathon training: the perfect playlist, an arm band that could hold my iPhone, setting a running pace, staying hydrated, and of course – what the hell do I wear?

I opted for some killer leggings and a tank for the race, but what if you aren’t a runner and guffaw at the very mention of running. Wellll….some big news, y’all!

I’m hosting my very first (ah!!) event with Athleta on Fillmore on Saturday, March 7th at 8:30 a.m. I’m teaming up with Athleta, the amazing Tricia Kirkwood of Sunshine Fitness, and Shikha Kaiwar of Shikhalamode to bring you guys a morning of food, fun, and pilates.

Tricia (who was named most enthusiastic instructor in SF by ClassPass!) will be teaching DetoxFIT, an hour class of Pilates, Yoga, and Barre exercises that help detox the body after a vigorous run or a week of indulgence.

I mean, who wouldn’t want that? And it’s free!

  1. Congratulations on completing a half marathon! I am currently training for a 5k obstacle race in May. I am already starting to worry about what I am going to wear and all of that fun stuff.
