Hi Everyone!

Happy Thursday! This week has been a little batty, so I thought i’d take the time to write a Thursday Thankful list (something my roommate Andi has inspired me to do since i’ve known her!)

Here’s a few things i’m thankful for as of late:

  • Upcoming travels (PDX in August and Ohio!)
  • Seeing my very best friends as we reunite at our alma mater, Ohio University!
  • Soy Lattes from Coffee Cultures
  • Waking up early and walking to work
  • Writing really kickass copy I feel good about
  • Seeing Real Estate on Friday
  • Lounging at Stern Grove eating fresh blueberries and drinking IPAs
  • The fog rolling in every afternoon around 6 p.m.
  • People using exclamations! (I love them)
  • Saying hi to French Bulldogs on the street
  • Feeling confident from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep
  • Fighting for what you want and more so, what you believe in
  • Random high fives and hugs
  • Outside Lands next weekend!
  • Continuing to make progress on my blog each and every day
  • Feeling loved

Just a few things i’ve been thankful for lately! What are some of yours?

Hi Everyone!

Happy Wednesday! Hope everyone is having a grand ol’ time. In San Francisco, it’s a bit gloomy here, but I suppose our San Francisco Indian Summer is right around the bend.

Since the weather is so erratic, my closet is usually a mixture between sweaters, spring dresses, coats and everything in between. It gets expensive, right? Never knowing what season to dress for sometimes is a bit of a hassle on my sanity and my budget.

That being said, since i’ve moved to San Francisco almost 3 years ago (at the end of August!!!!), I have found my clothing mecca. That’s right, y’all. It’s Crossroads Trading.

I’ve been to several locations around the city, but call the Fillmore street location my home. I’m there on the regular (more than I like to admit — once a week??) and never come out empty handed.

However, I’ve heard I have a bit of a shopping problem and after taking up 2 closets in my apartment, my roommates decided to have an intervention.

You can only buy something, if you give away 3 items. Makes total sense. But when do you find the time to actually gather up your things, pack them nicely and find time to either donate or take them to a resale location?

Luckily, the smart people at Crossroads had the brilliant idea of a Sell By Mail bag where you can request a free (holla!) pre-paid bag that is delivered to your house (double holla!) and allows you to sell your clothes by mail!!!

The bag holds an amazing amount of clothing and even better, the clothing they don’t accept or isn’t in season — they donate.

Now that’s a win/win for me.

If you love fashion that’s affordable, chic and easy head on over to Crossroads. I promise your wallet will be happy.

Hi Everyone!

Happy Tuesday! As most of you guys know — I love black. It’s easy, slimming and always chic. That’s why I have literally re-created (and re-worn) this outfit a handful of times.

Working in a creative atmosphere, I have a lot of leeway when figuring out what to wear. Whether it’s a sundress, jorts, what have you — almost anything goes. Except for see through leggings. That’s always a bad idea.

Anyway, I wore this outfit particularly for a client meeting and to be honest — it was perfect. Even the slip on sneaks worked well, was comfortable and added a little pop.

Also. You guys. Because i’m waiting fo’ payday…I caved. And bought hair dye. Weird? Maybe. Inexpensive? Yes. It was literally $4 on SALE. I may be cheap, but i’d prefer to be called “thrifty.”

I’ve never dyed my hair, so i’m a bit…nervous? I’m excited for the challenge and am going to attempt it this evening.

Looking forward to the results and will let you know!

Hi Everyone!

Happy Monday. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. This week/end was jam packed starting on Monday where my company celebrated our five year anniversary in Sonoma. Accompanied by our two co-founders, we had a blast sipping on wine, getting sunburnt and “team building.”

Along with this week were some quiet moments at Blue Bottle, running to say hi to the Golden Gate Bridge right before sunset and grabbing Pressed Juice.

This weekend was pretty killer starting on Friday when I teamed up with Le Tote for an exciting little collab coming your way soon! Saturday was spent with an early morning run, brunch (naturally — btw have you tried La Urbana’s brunch in their side garage? AMAZING!) and stopped by Yes To’s traveling beauty bike to learn up on some beauty and skincare items.

A little thing I definitely need to know about. I took the quiz outside and found out I was a Yes To Cucumbers kind of gal. Gentle, hypoallergenic formulas for normal or sensitive skin types, Yes To Cucumbers smelled amazing annnnd was made of real ingredients like cucumbers, aloe and green tea. I can completely find comfort in knowing what i’m putting on my face!

Sunday was spent listening to the sounds of Rufus Wainwright at Stern Grove and ending the day with a fried tofu sandwich from Dinosaur 2. Heaven.

Happy Friday! It’s a splendid one, indeed. Ready to be outside, sleep in and brunch hard. Seems to be a theme with my weekends, doesn’t it? Planning to wear nothin’ but chucks, sweaters and shift dresses. ❤

Have a great weekend!

This past weekend, I ventured to the Outer Sunset for a little brunch adventure at Outerlands. You guys know how serious I am about a good omelette, so i’ll go just about anywhere to nom hard.

Anyway, there’s usually a wait at Outerlands (it’s that good, people) so luckily I stopped by Trouble for some coffee and then stopped by my new favorite — General Store.

The sleepy neighborhood of the Outer Sunset is a perfect location for General Store. Founded by Serena Mitnik-Miller and Mason St. Peter, the store is filled with curated finds from the owners. From small pieces of local and handcrafted jewelry to cards, plants and books…it’s a place where you find the best treasures.

Best part? They have a little backyard to pass the brunch time wait and reflect on that big ass breakfast you’re about to devour.

Definitely worth a trip to check out all the goods and their Instagram is damn perfect.

Lately, i’ve been wearing a lot of black on black. I’m not sure where this started, but to be honest…I don’t hate it. Every now and then, however, I try to get out of my normal routine and wear some color.

I snagged this bomber jacket from Forever 21 awhile back and was immediately smitten by how fun it looked. Definitely a statement piece, I wanted to pair it with something a bit more subtle. Army green cargo pants and a faux-leather Zara shirt instantly pulled the look together. And of course, I added shoes that were black. Because, why not?
