Happy Thursday! Like i’ve been mentioning throughout the past two weeks, I attended LuckyFabb last weekend! I met some insanely amazing and stylish women that inspired me to no end! Even better was the fact that many women I met at LuckyFabb were from San Francisco…who knew!
One gal in particular who I met through friends was Alex of SF Shop Girl! I love a good SF blogger, but even moreso, I love a good blogger who can rock a killer milk braid. Alex was wildly warm, funny and had an insane outfit on when I met her…those Sam Edelman booties? I mean, come on. I NEED THOSE.
Post after post, Alex always looks chic, but effortless and oh so relatable – what I think makes a good blogger an amazing blogger.
And while i’ve recently just met Alex over the last week, I think she’s a blogger to be highlighted not only for her style, but for her warmth, curious nature and all around good attitude.
You can find Alex on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter for more real-time fashionable updates!
Day 2 Outfit. Coffee in hand…thank gawd.
I can’t even with that metallic skirt.
Life is good with beer & indian food.
Happy Humpday! A little more from my time in New York during LuckyFABB! Like I mentioned earlier, such a killer conference. Met tons of amazing women, saw inspiring clothing and heard even more poignant talks about start-ups from people in the industry.
If you went, how’d you like it?

Anddddd, because i’m a transparent blogger, i’m going to show you this hilarious and awkward photo:
Oh yeah. This happened.
Happy Tuesday! Hope you’re having a killer week! Alas, i’m a sucker for comfort and when I like something, I like it a lot. When it comes to clothes, if I like it…I wear it again. And again. And well, probably for the next week. So, when it was time to come to packing for LuckyFABB, why go out of my comfort zone and really dress up?
This dress from H&M is perfect. Breezy, inexpensive, chic and fun. The pattern brightens up the otherwise simple style while still maintaining the edginess that I prefer.
Anyway, I love this damn dress and knew it’d be perfect to take with me to New York. Pretty easy to maneuver around the city. I mean, come on…did you see the last photo? 🙂

Starting off my time in New York correctly. Sesame with turkey bacon. OH YEAH.
Day 2 Outfit for LuckyFABB!
Coffee to sustain the craziness of the week!
Caught up with this lady! Known her since my very first day of college!
BYOB Indian Place. I’m into it.
Like brother, like sister.
Hope all is well! Happy Monday! I just got back from an insanely fun trip to New York for LuckyFabb! I’m still catching up on some sleep, but reunited with friends (from college and the blogging world!) ten thousand times worth it.
LuckyFABB was a blast and I learned SO much about making my blog the best it can be. Also, did I mention Kate Bosworth and Eva Mendez spoke? It was insanely badass and I have so much more respect for those two women! Amazing. I ate my weight in bagels (i’m not mad), walked everywhere (so refreshing!), laughed my ass off and well, treated myself to a solid drop crotch pant. WORTH IT.
Alas, you’ll see several more pictures coming your way this week, but I thought i’d give ya a taste. I have to admit though, it feels damn good to be home in the city I adore. Pretty great way to end a weekend.
Happy Friday! Small post today as i’ve been attending the LuckyFABB conference yesterday and today! It’s been an absolute blast, seeing old blogging friends and meeting a ton of new ones! 🙂 Also…can I just tell you how this is my quintessential NYC outfit? Especially for the conference. Subway in flats. Throw on some heels, comfy jeans and sweatshirt…perfect look. I hope ya’ll are having a great day and an even better weekend!
Happy Thursday! I hope ya’ll are having a killah day! As i’m at LuckyFABB, i’m surrounded by fellow bloggers with amazing style and even more amazing attitudes. For this reason, I wanted to highlight a specific blogger who inspires me day in and day out — Lauren from The Pear Shape.
While i’ve only briefly met Lauren (in-person once thanks to Lydia!), I was impressed by her attitude and I mean…come on, look at the photos! She has awesome style.
The reason why I love Lauren’s blog is not because she’s pear shaped, it’s because she embraces her body (no matter what the size) and empowers women (and fellow readers!) to do the same – whether boyish, apple, pear, hourglass, etc. It’s kind of amazing the impact of her words, her can-do attitude and her well, “I don’t give an F” attitude when it comes to body perception.
Annnnnd, as always, something near and dear to my heart is that this girl has humor. I mean, honestly. Have you checked out her Twitter? Any girl who tweets “Indian food takeout is always a good idea” and “Blogger problems: when you are wearing a cute outfit to work, and don’t have anyone to snap an #ootd” makes me smile.
For more on Lauren, check out her Twitter and Instagram for more snapshots & updates!
Happy Humpday! Here’s just a few more of my Tahoe adventure! Way too gorgeous of a scenery not to share. But seriously, when can I go back?
I’m in New York and absolutely lovin’ it! Needing to make this a yearly occurrence.
