Almost to the weekend, ya’ll. CAN I GET AN AMEN! Anyway, I wanted to share a few recent purchases I picked up along the way via Chicago and San Francisco. First off, can I just say I LOVE this hat? It may look a little Sargent Pepper on me, but frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn. I went to Topshop hoping to get some goodies and maybe it’s just me, but did Topshop get more expensive? Call me cheap, but I just can’t justify spending $100 on a sweater yet. Maybe when i’m a baller?
When I spotted this hat in a deep olive green color, I couldn’t resist. And for $15? Holler. Going with the sales, I scooped up these hawt Guess heels in a gorgeous red color. I feel like every lady needs red heels, so I happily obliged when I found these on sale at DSW.
The Van Halen sweatshirt was necessary (so comfortable with boyfriend jeans!) and every time I see it I want to “Jump!” for joy. Hah. Get it? Because Van Halen has a song called “Jump.” I’m hilarious.
So, what cha’ll think? Good buys? I keep reminding myself that every time I get one new item, I need to purge three. Please hold me accountable for this. : )
Have an amazing day!
Everything is better with a pup in hand, am I right? Dress: Macy’s (similar here!) | Army Green Blouse: Ralph Lauren | Leather Jacket: H&M | Shoes: H&M | Hat: H&M
I smell tattoo inspiration! Necklace: F21
My new friend Bo! I feel like we often have the same hairstyle…
I’m forcing him to love me. He looks thrilled, no?
Happy Wednesday! I’m going to put a disclaimer first…if you know anything a little bit about me, my Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. it’s all about dogs. I absolutely LURVE pups and can’t go a day without saying hi to one, giving it a high-paw (my version of a high five) and generally freaking out and saying hello to the dog, not the owner (much to their dismay).
ANYWAY, when I saw this fab, four-legged creature named Bo I couldn’t resist. I think he’s a pretty nice addition to my outfit today, too. And since we’re talking about creatures, I’m definitely a creature of habit. I feel like wearing a dress takes little to no effort, thus…today’s outfit! I love how the print looks like a watercolor painting and I can literally dress it up with heels or down with Converse (as I did last weekend!)
Also, I’m kind of obsessed with the arrow necklace I snagged a few weeks ago at Forever 21. I have been toying with the idea of getting one more tattoo of the same symbol after my favorite Thoreau quote. “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you’ve imagined.” I’ve always loved this saying and have held it true ever since I moved out to San Francisco a year and a half ago. Too literal? Haha.
Have an amazing day!

Shirt: LOFT (Love this version) | Shorts: Prabal Gurung x Target (Equally as fun shorts here!) | Tights: H&M | Shoes: Talbot’s (The ankle strap on these kill me) | Ring: F21
Don’t mind the wrinkles. These shorts don’t mess around.
LOVE the 2 toned collar and shirt combo
Remember that Fruit Stripe gum you used to love as a kid that came in all those wacky colors and flavors? Well, I definitely feel like that today. But hey, a little color never hurt anyone and to be honest, I love a good bold print.
As always, Prabal Gurung x Target didn’t disappoint and I scooped up these shawtties! SO comfortable and really affordable. What pieces did you guys score that you’ve been wearing non-stop? Literally, the dresses from the collection are so versatile that i’m looking forward to pairing them down with a pair of Converse.
There will also be some exciting changes and developments to The Ohio Transplant that I can’t wait to share with you guys! As always, if you have any advice, tips, tricks, etc. please don’t hesitate and send ’em along my way! I would love to connect and talk all thangz blogging!

Two of the most special people on the plant: Emily & Sam!
A Chicago staple, of course
Obviously thinking something was hilarious
- Obviously thinking something was hilarious
I apologize for the delay in posts, but as you probably saw I’ve been in Chicago celebrating one of my closest friend Emily’s 24th birthday! It was an amazing weekend filled with a lot of hilarious moments, delicious food (obviously) and exploration!
But as they say, there’s no place like home and i’m SO happy to be back in San Francisco! This weekend made me very thankful that even though time has passed and a lot changes, relationships especially those you work on, never change.
I hope everyone has an amazing Monday and kick ass today!
The Prabal saga continues! I got this gem of a blouse from Momma Rancer who surprised me saying she found “some blouse” from Target in a fun color and in the perfect size. Ain’t she the best? Anyway, I absolutely have been getting a lot of milage from all of my Prabal Gurung x Target pieces and I have a sneaky suspicion that this blouse will be a mainstay in my wardrobe.
To add to the unusual color, I thought i’d channel my Avril Lavigne and wear this studded headband. Honestly, every time I hug someone (which is often) it genuinely stabs and hurts them. If that’s not badass, I don’t know what is.
I’ll also be traveling to Chicago for the weekend and cannot wait! I’ll be reunited with my very best friends and exploring the city. I lived there for a summer a few years back and absolutely fell in love with the town. I can’t wait to see my old co-workers and of course, celebrate my friend’s birthday!
Any of you have good Chicago hotspots to check out?
Have an amazing day!

Pretending I have a bob again…
Happy Humpday! Almost to the finish line! I’m having an ultra short week since we had President’s Day off and i’m taking Friday off to travel to Chicago and visit one of my favorite people in the entire world for her 24th birthday!
So, you know how I was saying the weather in San Francisco was downright amazing earlier this week/end? Well, it was a hellish rainy day on Tuesday so I bundled up in one of my coziest sweaters a la H&M and found major inspiration from Blair of Atlantic-Pacific and Krystal of This Time Tomorrow. Not only do both women have impeccable style, but they also live/lived in San Francisco for some time. I met both Blair and Krystal once and can honestly say they are even more beautiful and sweet in person!
Also, I love how some bloggers are tucking their long locks in their turtlenecks for a faux-bob. So thus, I tried my hand at it. I’ve always had shorter hair and am trying to grow it out to both challenge myself and to put in a high bun. Let’s see how long that lasts.
Have an amazing day and keep on kickin’!

Awesome Friday night at Soma StrEAT Food! My favorite was the sushi burrito I had at We Sushi
Just another Saturday in San Francisco!
Dolores Park on a Sunday
Watching the sunset at Sutro Baths
My favorite part of the weekend was meeting this little gentleman
Too unique not to pick up!
A Valentine’s Day Card from my lurdy Emily!
I hope you had a great and long President’s Day Weekend! Friday I was still unwinding from the busy week so my roommate Andi and I decided to head over to Soma StrEAT Food Park. Honestly, I think Friday solidified it–one of my favorite places in San Francisco. Tons of food truck vendors ranging from Frozen Kuhsterd (I got an amazing Golden Graham topped sundae!) to my personal favorite We Sushi where I had a killer sushi burrito. Guess i’m really in San Francisco now, eh?
Saturday and Sunday were spent lounging and enjoying time with friends who were visiting from out of town and actually moving out of town, too! The amazing 70 degree weather called for an IPA at Zeitgeist (please tell me you’re as obsessed as my friends and I are!) and watching the sunset at Sutro Baths. Absolutely gorgeous. Oh, and did I mention that we ran into Patty McGroin, candidate for Empress of All San Francisco? Needless to say, I was impressed by the amount of feathers in that outfit.
Throw in a hallo from an English Bulldog and I believe it’s been a President’s Day for the books.
Have an amazing Tuesday!
